Greenidge Generation Holdings (GREE) said Wednesday it has ordered 10,000 S19j Pro bitcoin miners from Bitmain for deployment at its Spartanburg, South Carolina, facility, which is due to start operating in Q4.
The miners, which are scheduled for delivery in Q2 and Q3 of 2022, will expand Greenidge Generation's bitcoin mining capacity by 1 exahash per second, the company said in a statement.
This order is part of Greenidge Generation's plan to expand bitcoin mining capacity to 500 megawatts by 2025 through additional locations, it added.
