RocaPoint Partners has started construction on 60,000 square feet of office space and signed agreements with multiple occupants as part of the second phase of Halcyon, a 135-acre, $370 million mixed-use project next to Big Creek Greenway in Forsyth County, the company announced on Thursday.

Alimera Sciences has already claimed about one-quarter of the under-construction building’s office space, according to the announcement. The pharmaceutical company has agreed to lease 14,900 square feet of space within the four-story building, which is expected to deliver in the fourth quarter.

RocaPoint Partners also announced that it expects to finish a new 23,000-square-foot location for fitness center The Forum Athletic Club by early next year and that Dogtopia, a dog boarding and grooming company, will occupy 5,000 square feet of Halcyon’s second phase.

{mprestriction ids="1,4,9"}Designed by AKA Studio and referred to as Building 1100, the currently underway office building will feature a brick and steel exterior and have a wellness focus, according to the developer. Office leasing for the project is being led by Newmark Group.

“As we continue to see tenants develop their work environment to meet post-Covid office protocols, we believe the opportunity to use a blank canvas is more important than ever,” Newmark Executive Managing Director Tom Miller said in a statement. “Halcyon’s Building 1100 will be first-generation space, allowing companies open opportunities to configure their environment to meet their specific needs in the most efficient and health conscious means possible.”
