Atlanta-based software provider PDI, whose platform helps convenience stores and gas stations manage their operations, has agreed to purchase a British provider of point-of-sale systems.

The acquisition will augment PDI’s existing software by adding on London-based Orbis Technologies Ltd.’s modular combination of POS, back-office and home-office software systems.

Born in Texas as an accounting software solution more than 35 years ago, PDI’s system helps operators manage the gasoline sales, food inventories, back-office operations and more.
