A Korean engineering consultancy company is expanding in Georgia, an example of the state's high-tech sector growth.

SUNGDO ENG USA, a subsidiary of South Korea-based Sungdo Engineering and Construction Co. Ltd., is set to open its new headquarters in Suwanee, Gwinnett County, and has also hired 30 people, Global Atlanta reported.

The company specializes in plants that make solar panels, biotechnology and pharmaceuticals, and other products, according to Global Atlanta.

Ju-ho Lee, CEO of the company, said in a news release that they have acquired primary clients in the state of Georgia for some high-tech facility, but he did not name his customers, according to Global Atlanta.

The company's global headquarters is in the Gangnam District of Seoul, South Korea.

SUNGDO is hiring for positions in mechanical, electrical, and process engineering, Global Atlanta reported.
