Microsoft has acquired a further 17 acres of land in Fulton County, Georgia.

First reported by Biz Journal and per Fulton County property deeds, the company recently bought about 7 acres from Lit/Hodges Industrial Trust for $1.1 million and another 10 acres from Macq LLC for $1 million.

The company is developing two data centers in Fulton County, in East Point and Palmetto, as part of its new East US 3 Azure region announced last February.

In April 2021 Microsoft bought 125 acres in Fulton County’s East Point, with records showing the company plans to build a 250,000 sq ft (23,000 sq m) data center on the plot. The company is building another 250,000 sq ft data center development in Palmetto. The company also bought 93 acres in nearby Douglasville, Douglas County for the third zone of the region.
